The guests of Hotel Emblemático of Arucas can enjoy its privileged location, being in the historical center of the city of Arucas, walking amongs these wonderful corners of this marvellous city. The main tourist attraction of the city is the Church of San Juan Bautista, known as the "Cathedral of Arucas", which is the faithful testimony of local Stonemason and the commitment of people who saw erected their temple of prayer. It is located scarcely 30 meters from the Hotel, such as, The Plaza de San Juan, the House of Culture, the Town Hall, the Municipal Park and La Heredad de Aguas de Arucas y Firgas, The Arehucas Rum Factory, and the Mountain of Arucas is about 300,000 years old approximately. The circular crater of the mountain was filled in the 50s to build a beautiful viewpont and a restaurant, which is nowadays an excellent watchtower to contemplate magnificent panoramas of all the city and the North of Gran Canaria; from La Isleta to The Mountain of Gáldar and towards the interior of the Island to La Cumbre, the highiest summit. Several viewpoints are oriented to the four cardinal points, (Mirador del Ron, Mirador del Teide, Mirador de Las Canteras), allow to appreciate, in all its magnitude the extensive bananas plantations, as well as the city and its main centre of population. The largest shopping area of the city is in Las Palmas, which are; León y Castillo and Gourié streets, also accessible on foot. Streets with a lot of charm where buildings of typical architecture of the XVII and XVIII centuries are combined with buildings of modernist architecture. Recommended places to be surprised by its multiple corners or simply to go shopping and relax on the terrace of a café. A few kilometers away our guests will be able to enjoy La Costa de Arucas, (Coast of Arucas), where barely fourteen kilometers, the coast offers a whole geological spectacle, of phonolithics lavas, which have infinite variety of capricious forms, as well as floristic, faunistic, historical and ethnographic. Arucas joins the interest in the complementaries activities related to active tourism, supporting a project of private initiative that has managed to settled in the municipality the largest adventure park in the Canary Islands. Due to its geographical location, Arucas has a privileged enclave within the island of Gran Canaria, it is only 15 minutes (12 km) from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 35 minutes from the airport and a bit less of one hour from the main tourist area of the island, Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés.
